Assistant Director of Communications: St. Columba’s is searching for a full-time Assistant Director of Communications. Main responsibilities include: assist the director of communications in planning and production of parish publications and website; plan and produce bulletins for all worship services (Sundays, weddings, funerals, Christmas, etc.); help maintain a website that is fresh, up-to-date and integrated with other parish communications; plan, design, write and edit parish communications as assigned; develop content as assigned for print, web and social media in response to parishioner and staff needs. Major Holy Days, occasional weddings and funerals included. Applicant must be able to read music, play an organ as well as piano and knowledgeable of English handbells. Duties include: serve as organist for one Sunday morning service year-round providing hymns & service music, choral accompaniments and some solo literature; conduct adult choir and children’s handbell choir rehearsal weekly between September and May. We are sensitive to diocesan and AGO guidelines for music professionals. We have two services on Sundays, with music at 10:30 am only. Our worship, at both the early and later services, is traditionally Anglican in liturgical style, with Rite I at the 8 am and Rite II at 10:30 am. Assistant Minister of Music- Grace Episcopal Church seeks an Assistant Minister of Music for 10 hours/week starting September 1. Instruments: 2-manual Æolian-Skinner, ca. 1950, three year old Mason & Hamlin baby-grand in sanctuary. Annual salary: $13-$15,000.00 depending on education & experience. Duties include: serve as organist for one Sunday morning service year-round providing hymns & service music, choral accompaniments and some solo literature; conduct one junior children’s choir rehearsal weekly between September through May; assist the Music Minister with various other performance and administrative duties of the music program on a flexible schedule as needed to average 10 hours per week. We use both the 1982 Episcopal Hymnal and Lift Every Voice and Sing II hymnal serving an inclusive, multicultural parish. Our choral repertoire consists of standard Episcopal choral anthems, concert spirituals, and children’s choral music.
