Planned giving

Your gift can make a difference in your life today and in the lives of others tomorrow. A planned gift to your congregation or the Episcopal institution of your choice or the Diocese of Washington will make future ministry possible.

Planned charitable gifts can help you now financially because they may lower your income tax, if you itemize and may increase your annual income. Working with the Episcopal Church Foundation and its representatives, the diocese can show you how your financial gift through charitable gift annuities, pooled income funds, charitable trusts and gifts of insurance, real property and bequests can support the ministry of the church. Planned gifts are the most important resource for the growth of congregations, religious charities, schools and social service organizations and even the diocese.

Contact the Diocese's Canon to the Ordinary Paul E. Cooney at pcooney@edow.org or John Kline, the area representative for the Episcopal Church Foundation, at jkline@ang-md.org for more information about how to make a planned gift a real gift of a lifetime.
