Part of the rich spiritual life of the Diocese of Washington
consists of a number of religious communities and associations that support
individuals on a particular spiritual path. Information on a number of
organizations and associations is included on this page together with
links to sites with more information where available.
BROTHERHOOD OF ST. ANDREW
The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is an international ministry of men
within the Anglican Communion dedicated to the spread of Christs
kingdom among men and youth. The Brotherhood implements its ministry to
men and youth through organized chapters within individual Anglican and
Episcopal parishes with the approval of the diocesan bishop and the rector.
Members of the Brotherhood are required to accept and observe the disciplines
of daily prayer, study and service. Organized chapters within a diocese
form an assembly. The assembly in the Washington Diocese is the Potomac
Assembly.
