Task Force on Alcohol and Substance Abuse

This new task force is charged with developing educational resources and strategies for the diocese concerning addiction and recovery, including things such as speakers, Recovery Sunday, community resources, interventions, family support and recovery. It is also charged with developing policies concerning treatment, future employment, health care insurance and confidentiality issues for clergy and lay employees and their families.

The task force is looking for members who are of the recovering community, people in the field of treatment, clergy in recovery, and other knowledgeable people. Specifically, they need:

a health care person
an insurance person
a human resources person and
an attorney
others are also needed and welcome.
