Training Opportunities in the Diocese of Washington
The following training opportunities are available for clergy and lay persons in the Diocese of Washington (see also the Calendar, conferences and grants and scholarships):
Training for Licensed Ministries - Licensing for Lay Ministers
Training for licensing as a Eucharistic Minister and Visitor (formerly called Pastoral Visiting Lay Eucharistic Minister)
Sexual Misconduct Prevention Training - Safeguarding God's Children
Mandatory training for all clergy and lay professionals working in the Diocese of Washington
Leadership Training - Leadership Development Workshops
1/2 day workshops for clergy and lay leaders to develop or hone leadership skills together.
Clergy Conference*
The annual Clergy Conference is designed for all diocesan clergy to spend fellowship time with their peers and with their bishops while participating in educational workshops.
Clergy Day*
An annual day long workshop with a featured speaker as a forum for clergy of the diocese to meet together and explore issues of faith.
Stewardship Conference*
A conference providing training for all congregational stewardship volunteers.

Grants for Continuing Education
The Angus Dun Fellowship Fund gives grants toward the continuing education of clergy in the Episcopal Diocese of Washington. Grants may support academic study and related travel, diocesan programs, conferences for deveping individual ministry, and self-directed study.
