Long-Term Care Insurance
Long-Term Care Insurance (LTC) is offered through the Church Pension Group and provided by The Prudential Insurance Company of America. This insurance is transferable if the employee leaves the employment of the Episcopal Church. The employee enrolls directly through Prudential and pays the full cost of premiums directly to Prudential.
New employees have 60 days from their date of hire to enroll in the LTC Insurance with Guaranteed Acceptance.
Employees may purchase this insurance to cover the care they may require when they advance in age or if they acquire a chronic illness in which they may no longer be able to care for themselves without the assistance of another. This type of insurance provides custodial care in a variety of settings, at home or nursing home care, etc. Some of the services covered are bathing, eating, and transportation. For more information regarding this type of coverage you may visit the www.cpg.org website and follow links for Long Term Care Insurance.
Employees who are past their 60 days from date of hire may enroll in the LTC insurance at any time; however their application must first be approved by the Medical Underwriters of Prudential.
More information is available from the Church Pension Group website.
