Jerusalem Partnership
In January 2010 the Diocese of Washington and the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem and the Middle East entered into a three-year companion relationship.
A Companion Diocese Committee was formed and charged with working on the challenges faced by the Diocese of Jerusalem in the areas of education, healthcare and advocacy.
Bill Prather chairs the committee; Ann Korky chairs the subcommittee for advocacy; John Loikow chairs the subcommittee for educational and rehabilitation institutions; Thomas Johnson chairs the subcommittee for health care institutions; and Jane Deland and Lucille León chair the subcommittee for parish-to-parish partnerships.
Members of the Diocese of Washington have travelled to the Holy Land on several occasions to take part in pilgrimages and learn more about the work of the diocese.
