OPENING FEB. 25 AT THE AVALON: THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST (2004, Rated R, 127 min.) directed by Mel Gibson and starring Jim Caviezel (“Frequency,” “Count of Monte Cristo”) as Jesus in the last 12 hours of his life. Tickets are now on sale at the box office.

Due to the controversial nature of this film, the Avalon is committed to showing it in a constructive and educational context. We are presenting several panels with Jewish and Christian leaders after
select screenings (see below). Throughout the run of the film, we will display viewing guides and other material developed by religious organizations to help set the context for the film.
