[Back to index of May/June 2009 articles] A Grace-Filled Wedding Day Brings Love and Hope for Homeless Couple
Washington Window Online Extra  Nhiahni Abeena Chestnut and Peabo Dante White, who are homeless and jobless, were married at Grace, Georgetown on May 2. The wedding was arranged with the help of many parishioners after the couple – who are regular guests at Grace’s Table, a meal and Bible study hosted by the church – expressed their desire to be married and their inability to pay for a ceremony. Grace members pitched in to provide the rings, clothing, cake, flowers, food, music, photographer, videographer and honeymoon.
