[Back to index of Nov-Dec 2009 articles] Soul Pilgrimage Tour By Lucy Chumbley  Historian and St. Mary’s, Foggy Bottom parishioner Brad Tatum was one of several speakers who enlivened the Soul Pilgrimage Tour. More than two years in the planning, the tour took a closer look at four historically black congregations in the Diocese of Washington. It was organized by the Episcopal Women and Girls of Calvary and led by the Rev. Carleton Hayden, a Howard University history professor and retired priest of the diocese.
