The
annual Acolyte Festival is open to all acolytes in the nation, and is
held at Washington National Cathedral. The day begins at 10 a.m., with
a Eucharist service that includes the procession of all participating
acolytes and their banners. After the service and a box lunch, a variety
of workshops are offered, and the day concludes around 3 p.m. The Cathedral
and its English-style grounds offer a wonderful experience for our out-of-state
visiting acolytes and chaperones. Cost: approx. $25/person, which includes lunch and
a acolyte medal. More information is also
available at: http://www.cathedral.org/cathedral/worship/acolyte.shtml
Schedule: Saturday, October 7, 2006, at 10 a.m.
