Information Technology and Communications As more individuals and organizations use the Internet and electronic media for their communications needs, making effective use of the Web as a medium to communicate the Church's message has become increasingly important. In the Diocese of Washington, an increasing number of congregations and Episcopal organizations are using e-mail and sites on the Web to market themselves more effectively. Church House staff are ready to assist congregations in this task with resources for designing and developing Web sites and using e-mail effectively, getting technology-related training and communicating with outside groups and media organizations.
