The dignified figures in this pottery nativity set from Cameroon are glazed in a wonderful deep brown color. Mary sits on a low stool with her hands on her knees. The chubby, cute Child lies in a raised manger with His arms on his chest and knees drawn up to his rounded stomach. The manger itself is a basket, made to resemble those used in Cameroon, which can be removed from a carved wooden stand by the handles on each end.
