Shepherds (Ireland)
This figure is from a cast limestone nativity created by the studio of Kieran Forde in Kilcullen. The style of these figures is reminiscent of early Celtic Carvings found throughout Ireland. In the nativity, the simple forms of the figures, with their few carved details, are set against a ruined Gothic arch. Here, an older and younger shepherd stand with their arms around each other.
