Lamb and Lion (Bolivia)
These soft sculpted dolls were made by the Kunturi, a group of people who are physically challenged and who construct these figures as part of their therapy. Note the intricate embroidery on the figures, including the hearts on the lion and the lamb. These animals come from the prophecy of Isaiah, where the time of peace brought by the birth of the Messiah allows the "lion to lie down with the lamb."
