Shepherd and sheep
(India)
These hammered steel figures are seen only in silhouette, and are
formed from simple cones rolled, forged and welded together to form the
basis of each figure. Then, other pieces of steel are detailed
with simple punches and incised etching, and welded to the basic cone form. Note the semi-circular etching to create a “woolly” coat on the sheep.
