Holy Family

This modern crèche is constructed from native red clay by the artist Jeni Babin. A lace doily was pressed into the larger pieces of clay to produce the textured pattern. The "figures" of the Holy Family are formed simply by the undulations placed in the clay by the artist, and the Christ Child is cradled in the curve of Mary's "arm."
