for the world by equipping faith communities,
promoting spiritual growth, and striving for justice

2020 Regional Gatherings

And this is my prayer, that your love may overflow more and more with knowledge and full insight to help you to determine what is best, so that in the day of Christ you may be pure and blameless, having produced the harvest of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God.  Philippians 1:9-11

Dear Friends of the Diocese of Washington,

With gratitude and anticipation, I ask for your whole-hearted participation in your regional pre-convention gathering. Amidst the challenges and struggles of this year, God invites us to greater faithfulness and courage. As we gather to consider opportunities and decisions that will shape our common future, your presence is important. Together we discern the Spirit’s guidance.

To honor your time, we will follow the agenda closely. Our goal is to clearly present the issues and opportunities before us as a diocese and leave time for your questions and thoughts. We also invite your written responses after the meeting, using this form

With gratitude for our shared ministry and your faithfulness to Christ,

Bishop Mariann
