TRAINING SERIES: Growing with Realm
In 2017, the Diocese of Washington launched an initiative in partnership with ACS Technologies to make the Realm Connect system available to EDOW parishes at a discounted rate and with premium features. The Diocese is also committed to sponsoring ongoing training for parishes adopting and using Realm.
Realm is a fully online parish membership system that offers a comprehensive tool for tracking pledges and contributions, a way for committees and groups to coordinate and communicate, online event and meeting registration, tools for parish staff and group leaders communicate with parishioners and track hospitality follow up and engagement in formation programs, and an online parish membership directory. In addition, parishioners are able to make pledges and contributions and engage fully with all these features online or through an app on any mobile device. The system also offers an optional accounting module to provide bookkeeping capability. The Realm system is continuously evolving and growing, so new features are being added to it in responses to the needs of parish clients. More information on Realm is available on the ACS website.

introduction to realm: growing ministry and strengthening parish relationships and participation with the ACS Realm membership system
This session is designed for parishes who are interested in adopting Realm as an alternative to a current system, for those who have decided to adopt Realm and are still in the process, or if your parish has Realm and you would like to know more about what it can do. This live session will be led by Dail Shaw from ACS with the opportunity to ask questions on topics covered in the webinar.
Growing with Realm - make the most of using realm Groups and Events to improve engagement and participation
This training session is for parishes who have adopted or are adopting Realm and would like to know more about how to best use the integrated Realm Groups and Events features both in the web and mobile versions. The Groups module is designed to facilitate coordination and communication among parish committees and volunteer groups and the Events module provides registration capability for any parish meeting or event that may be free or include payment. This live session will be led by Rebekah Musick from ACS and include opportunity to ask questions on topics covered in the training session.
Growing with Realm - support parish stewardship with easy and efficient online giving
This training session is for parishes who would like to offer online giving, a key consideration for the stewardship campaign of any congregation. Realm offers integrated eGiving capabilities to equip parishioners with the ability to make their pledge and contributions directly online or through a mobile device, as well as giving to support other parish initiatives and campaigns. This live session will be led by Ashley Perry from ACS and include opportunity to ask questions on topics covered in the training session.
Growing with Realm - WORKING WITH pledges and contributions and Realm reports
This training session is for parishes who are using Realm and explores how to best track pledges and contributions, utilize the reporting features of Realm, and how giving totals may be exported into other accounting systems (eg. Quickbooks, ACS Financials) or the Realm Accounting module. This is a core part of any church's management process and this webinar aims to build confidence and fluency in using Realm in these areas. This live session will be led by Rebekah Musick from ACS and include the opportunity to ask questions on topics covered in the training session.
Growing with Realm: how to track parishioners contact and personal information, use pathways and other tools to welcome newcomers and improve connections with existing parishioners, and launching realm to your parish
This training session in the current Growing with Realm series explores how a parish can best use Realm to track key contact and personal information of parishioners in Realm, and how to use the Pathways and other features in Realm to engage parishioners through hospitality, education, and formation programs and using the data in Realm to engage more effectively in pastoral care of parishioners. This live session will be led by Rebekah Musick from ACS and include the opportunity to ask questions on topics covered in the training session.
GROWING WITH REALM: HOW TO MANAGE PARISH EVENTS IN REALM
This final training session in the current Growing with Realm series demonstrates how to engage and connect parishioners more deeply in the life of the parish by managing events and activities in the parish using the Events feature in Realm. These can be useful for managing parish dinners, formation programs, outreach programs, fundraising events, retreats, and provides a means to both track and get a snapshot history of participation and support. This live session will be led by Rebekah Musick from ACS and include the opportunity to ask questions on topics covered in the training session.
